Ovadya charges through the orchard towards his discarded sword, and in one fluid motion, picks it up and stabs the brigand straight through the heart. The man's mouth opens and closes silently. Blood pools behind his teeth and drools down his chin. Ovadya retracts the blade and wipes it clean on the brigand's jerkin before he even falls dead.
Dorsticles: "Jesus Christ."
Ovadya: "I always keep a promise."
Dorsticles slams his staff against the stone floor, but you very shortly realise that it’s only to steady himself as streams of shadow energy coalesce into two claw-like hands that rake at his chest. The dark hands plunge deep, pulling glowing yellow essence from his body and dragging it through the air like some grim gymnastics ribbon routine. They take the energies and push them into Sybil’s body. Instantly she is healed for 22 HP. The hands fade into the aether from whence they came.
The wizard sags heavily into a leaning posture against his wooden staff.
DM: Dorsticles is now dangling helplessly from the top of the coconut tree like a bearded monkey.
Ovadya: I spring into action! I climb the tree to save him. “I’m coming, scrawny wizard friend!”
DM: Roll an Athletics Check for that, Ovadya.
Ovadya: I rolled a 21.
Dorsticles: I cast Thunderstep to get back down to the party.
DM: Ovadya climbs the tree like an actual monkey until he reaches the top and the wizard appears to explode in a thunderous wave! The coconuts are sundered; hairy brown husk and coconut water are spattered over the jungle; Ovadya is sent flying a good 20 feet and lands in a bush. Dorsticles reappears safely on the ground by the base of the tree, the top of which now looks like one of those novelty exploding cigars.
Ovadya: “Ow.”
Dorsticles: LOL Amazing.
